In a bid to get pan-India coverage for its third generation (3G) mobile services, Tata Teleservices has approached Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd for roaming agreements. The two PSUs together are the only entity to have 3G spectrum across all the 22 circles. Tata Teleservices has won spectrum in nine circles but not in the key cities of Delhi and Mumbai.

Feeling the heat of competition from its rivals – TATA Photon + and Reliance NetConnect, BSNL has decided to reduce the price of its Data Card – EVDO. The price of EVDO is reduced to Rs. 2500 from Rs. 3500 earlier. As of now BSNL is the only Telecom Operator which is Truly providing Unlimited Data Plans in this category.
